Monika's weekly inner voice drawings:

Q: What is today's wisdom?
A: "Life loves to be taken by the lapel and be told: 'I am with you kid. Let's go.'"

  1. I’m wondering if others are having as much fun with your drawings, Monika. This is true play… play of mind, that is. This book of a drawing is called, “Once upon a time.” Once upon a time, in the very depths of the sea, there lived a whale and his friend, a miniature water kangaroo. The whale, whose name was Sam, was a seeker, and his friend, the kangaroo, was called Sara. Sam and Sara were very attached to each and depended upon each other to live, because life for Sam and Sara was unthinkable apart. And yet, their very attachments led them to believe they were in constant danger of separating. “What would I do without you Sara?” What would I do without you, Sam?” This is the question they would ask each and every morning upon waking, and each and every evening upon preparing for sleep. Romantic by most standards, Sam and Sara’s anxiety around each other’s loss often didn’t feel that romantic to them. They really wanted to be and remain best of friends, but this overwhelming dread of being separate began to contaminate the relationship. What was once a deep sea romance, now began to feel more like drowning—drowning, that is, if one could drown being a sea creature.

End of Part I. Stay tuned :)

  2. LOL :) "water kangaroo" - ha that's what it is, of course. I hadn't recognized it :) And Sam & Sara, very appropriate names!
You HAVE to share this story on my new Facebook site: Inner Voice Village - Community Center for Inner Voice Drawing®. The drawing is up there.
I am very curious to see, how it continues :)
